Blackfalds Wranglers

Landon Siegle of the Blackfalds Wranglers has been named the Heritage Junior Hockey League Rookie of the Month for January 2017.

This marks the second time the Red Deer, AB product has won the award, having taking home the honours for the month of November.

Siegle, 18, scored seven times and added four assists for 11 points in eight games during the month. He twice scored the game-winner, the first on January 14 when he netted two goals in the final frame as the Wranglers came-from-behind to edge the Vipers, while the next game, he tallied the winner with 3:39 left in the game against Banff.

Siegle is currently 13th in HJHL scoring with 55 points (31-24-55) in 28 games, while his 31 goals rank fifth.
