PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR FEB. 5-11, 2018

Coaldale Copperheads

Andrew Suriano of the Coaldale Copperheads has been named the Heritage Junior Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending on February 11, 2018.

Suriano, 19, posted a 3-0-0 record along with 0.40 goals-against average, a .985 save-percentage and one shutout.

On Friday, the Lethbridge, Alta. product entered the game in relief, stopping all 20 shots he faced in 31 minutes of work to help the Copperheads come back to beat the Flyers. The following night, Suriano stopped 24-of-25 shots in a win over the Wheatland Kings, and followed that up with a 23-save shutout against the same Wheatland Kings team on Sunday afternoon.

Suriano finished the regular season with a record of 13-7-0, along with a 2.84 goals-against average, a .904 save-percentage and two shutouts.
