If your season's on the line, look to the reigning scoring king.

The Airdrie Techmation Thunder had their back to three wall on Friday night.

Jordan McConnell scored a hat trick and added an assist as the Thunder staved off elimination on home ice.

Tyler Petrie also potted a pair and added two helpers while Kyle Bracko also bent the twine for Airdrie.

Marshal Quartly and Caden Switzer replied for the Colts.

Evan Gartner made 29 saves for the Thunder.

League-leading scorer Tyson Scott potted a pair of goals and added an assist as the Bisons completed the second-round sweep over their rivals.

Austin O'Bray, who sinished the round with five points, and Ryan Bedard also scored for High River, which will await the winner of the Cochrane/Medicine Hat series.

Devin Reagan booted out 28 of 29 shots for the win.

Jakob Jeffries accounted for High River's offence.

Cubs 5, Generals 3

The Cubs stead the offence around to take a stranglehold on the HJHL South Division semifinal.

Brayden Anderson, Austin Klomosko, Desmond Crawford, Chandler Aleman and Cooper Hilworth scored as Medicine Hat won its third straight game.

The Cubs' Dawsen Savage and the Generals' Erik Garber both made 31 saves.

Dean Olenyk scored a pair while Justin Giacomin rounded out the scoring for Cochrane.
