Wranglers 4, Vipers 3

Well, they're battle tested.

The Wranglers rolled off three straight wins before suffering a trio of losses to the Vipers in the second round of the post-season.

But Sylvan Lake got the train back on the rails in time to claim a tight win in Game 7.

Taite Opdendries sniped the winner 25 seconds into the third period.

Beaudon Rider, Dylan Scheunert and Wade Lightburn also scored for Sylvan Lake, which will face the Mountainview Colts in the HJHL North Division final.

Justin Paarup potted a pair while Jarvis Gaume also found the net for Red Deer.

Generals 6, Cubs 2

It's going the distance.

And it probably comes as a surprise to no one, considering the season-long battle the Generals and Cubs have waged.

The South Division rivals went down to the final game of the season to determine home-ice advantage.

Cochrane hopes that will be the difference as the two teams prepare for a one-game, winner-take-all showdown on Sunday night.

Chris Sambrook scored a pair as the Generals roared out to a 5-0 first period lead and didn't look back in Game 6

Nick Koch, Caden Chudleigh, Takuro Okada and River Ross also lit the lamp for Cochrane.

Cooper Hilworth scored both goals for the Cubs.
